The Arts ‘n Motion Performance Company was formed in 2006 to give students with a passion for dance the ability to take additional dance classes per week, take class with professional performers, attend professional, theatrical and dance performances and perform beyond the annual yearly dance recital.
Company dancers balance a rigorous schedule of dance classes and performances while maintaining excellent grades in school. Dancers take class from 4 to 14 hours per week depending on the age and level and have the opportunity to perform at community events and regional and national Dance competitions. The Performanc Company has been awarded many prestigious awards, both on the regional and national level.
Performance Company dancers take part in several charitable events including packing backpacks for Giving Back, Linda’s Legacy each December. They perform their annual Holiday Halla Ballu each year at various locations throughout Maryland, including Baltimore area shelters on Christmas Eve, spreading Christmas joy to those less fortunate. Dancers taking part in the Arts ‘n Motion Performance Company not only learn the discipline of dance and the arts, but they gain knowledge and experience in life skills that will follow them into their adult like whether they choose a path in the professional performance world or otherwise.
Dancers are accepted into the Performance Company via invite by the Director or by contacting the studio for an audition.
